Kajol Should Have Said SORRY To Me: Karan Johar

Karan Johar and Kajol’s friendship ended on an ugly note but there won’t be a patch-up any time soon.

The filmmaker is clear that he will never be able to rekindle his friendship with Kajol. “That chapter is closed forever,” said the filmmaker in a recent interview to a news channel.

While in his book he had written: I don’t have a relationship with Kajol anymore. We’ve had a fallout. Something happened that disturbed me deeply which I will not talk about because it’s something that I like to protect and I feel it would not be fair to her or to me.”

But finally, KJo has revealed the cause of the rift and blamed Kajol’s husband Ajay Devgn. Karan said in the interview: “He called me and shouted at me and said some really nasty things because he heard at a party that I'd said some things about his wife. I just felt that heresay cannot be the reason for anyone to pick up the phone and say unsavoury things to anyone else. You have to give me the chance to defend myself.”

He further added that it was actually the KRK controversy during the release of Shivaay and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil which added fuel to the fire. KRK had made statements on Twitter that KJo had bribed the film critic to say nasty things about Ajay’s film.

Karan added: “Ajay put out a statement saying there should be an investigation and she retweeted it saying 'SHOCKING'. And that was it. I felt she should've not allowed her husband to say such things about me and even if he had, she shouldn't have endorsed and thirdly she should've picked up the phone and called me and said ‘Sorry’ for that entire situation. I'd like to say and I stand by it is that this is not a phase, a feeling that will change. No matter what, she's out of my life.”
